Happy Sabbath 🌸💚

More is demanded of those who live under the proclamation of the last message of mercy to be given to the world. We must reveal the binding claims of the law of God, every precept of which is “holy, and just, and good.”

We are not required to serve God as did the people of Israel, in going to Jerusalem to worship; neither are we required to offer up to him our flocks and herds as sacrificial offerings, symbolizing the one great Offering.

At one time the chosen of God were to do this, bearing in mind that, through the shedding of the blood of the only begotten Son of God, their sacrifices were acceptable. But no such sacrifice is now required at the hands of the church.

By the exceeding great and precious promises we are made partakers of the divine nature. Our path is enlightened now, and the light reveals the fraud practised by Satan in bringing in a false sabbath, thus gaining in the world what he failed to gain in heaven,—a change in the law of God.

🌱 Wild garlic season = pesto time!
This small-batch version is quick to make, full of spring flavor, and easy to adjust with whatever seeds or nuts you have on hand. 🌿✨

A perfect way to preserve the taste of the season — straight from the garden to the jar.
Make one, freeze one, and enjoy it on bread, pasta, or veggies! 🍞🍝🥗

🌿Wild Garlic Pesto (Small Batch)
Vegan, Freezable, and Full of Garden Goodness

Ingredients:
1 bunch of wild garlic (washed and roughly chopped)

¼ to ½ cup cashew nuts

¼ to ½ cup sunflower seeds

½ to ⅔ cup extra virgin olive oil (adjust for texture)

½ tsp Celtic or Himalayan salt (or to taste)

1 small clove of garlic, crushed (optional)

2–3 tbsp nutritional yeast (optional, for a cheesy flavor)

➡️Instructions:
1. Toast the cashew nuts and sunflower seeds in a dry pan until golden and aromatic. (In this video I did not toast the cashews, but you can if you prefer a deeper flavor.) 🌰 You can also use only cashews, only sunflower seeds, or swap in other nuts and seeds like almonds or pumpkin seeds.

2. Grind the cashews and sunflower seeds in a small food processor until they become a coarse meal. Mix in the nutritional yeast, if using.

3. Spoon about 2–3 cm of this mixture into a clean glass jar. 🫙

4. Finely chop the wild garlic using the food processor (you can pre-chop it with a knife to help it along). Add this on top of the nut mixture in the jar. 🌿

5. Pour olive oil into the jar until it just covers the mixture. Stir gently. The texture should be thick, not too liquid. 🫒

6. Add salt and the optional crushed garlic. Stir again and adjust seasoning if needed. 🧂 🧄

7. Store in the fridge for up to 1 week. For freezing, use small jars and keep the lid loose until fully frozen to prevent glass from breaking. ❄️

Extra tip:
If you have leftover nut/seed mix, keep it in a jar and use it as vegan parmesan — perfect for pasta, salads, or veggies. 🌾

🌱 It’s Mid-February—Time to Start Seeding! 🌱

February is moving fast, but there’s still time to start seeds indoors and prepare for the season ahead! Make sure to check the seed packet for specific temperature and sowing recommendations.

🌿 What to sow indoors now:
✅ Vegetables: Onions 🧅, Leeks, Celeriac, Early Cabbage 🥬, Brussels Sprouts, Cauliflower, Broccoli
✅ Leafy Greens: Lettuce, Endive, Spinach 🌿
✅ Herbs: Parsley, Chives, Thyme

🔆 Warm-Loving Crops (only with heating & grow lights):
🍅 Tomatoes, 🌶 Peppers, 🍆 Eggplants

🌱 What can be sown outdoors?
It’s still too early for most direct sowing, but in mild regions or with protection (cold frame, fleece, tunnel), you can start:
✅ Fava Beans (Broad Beans)
✅ Early Peas
✅ Spinach
✅ Lettuce
✅ Radishes

Soil still too cold or wet? Be patient—rushing outdoor sowing in bad conditions can lead to poor germination.
